Rollercoaster

So I thought that we had the house deal all said and done. Turns out I was wrong! My agent calls me and leaves a message while I was at work, driving a school bus! So it wasn't like I could check my messages right away. As it turned out another couple put a bid in on the house after we had a verbal agreement established. Iowa law says that the agent has to show the seller all offers until an offer has been signed and agreed upon. WTH. All the offer needed was my effing initials. I was hauling kids around. I didn't have time to initial anything until 5pm. Geesh. As it all turned out, we did get the house! The other offer wasn't as fabulous as ours. Now the papers are all initialed and signed and I can rest easy. Holy cow. What a day.
