12W3D

I stole this survey from MrsBro(thanks MrsBro).

The weekly survey

How far along? 12 weeks and 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: I lost 13lbs during the first 12 weeks. When I saw my midwife on thursday I had gained 2lbs of it back.

How big is baby? Via 3D Pregnancy:

Size: 2 1/2 inches
Weight: 1/2 ounce

Baby's face is looking more human as his eyes have moved to the front of his head and his ears are in place. Hooray! Other amazing fetal highlights this week:

Your baby is able to swallow this week and practices on the amniotic fluid he or she floats in. (And you thought baby food was kind of nasty!) And in case you're wondering how your kid can breathe in all that fluid, here's your answer: Fetuses get oxygen from the blood pumped into their bodies by the placenta and don't breathe with their lungs. Mystery solved!

This is kind of gross, albeit fascinating, so feel free to skip ahead: Your baby's intestines are well under way, but they aren't all where you'd expect them to be. Instead of all being locked away in the body cavity, some are dangling on the outside, in the umbilical cord. Ewwww.

Don't forget to put a baby nail file on your registry—your little nugget's finger- and toenails are forming this week. The chin and nose are also becoming more defined.

Junior has doubled in size over the past two weeks and now weighs almost ½ ounce. He's also now around 2 ½ inches long, about the length of your pinky finger or a Vienna sausage, which, in a few months, will be indistinguishable from one another.

Maternity clothes? No, however my shorts are starting to get very uncomfortable. By the end of the day I usually unbutton them. I don't know why I don't just put pj's on but I don't.

Sleep: I get some. I usually try to be in bed by 10ish. I wake up once to pee usually around 3am

Best moment this week: Getting to hear the babe's heartbeat! 160 beats/minute. It was a lovely sound.

Movement: Not yet

Food cravings: I'm loving any and all fruit lately which isn't very different from any other time. Watermelon makes me feel better though it seems. I ate a half of one by myself the other night and peed forever.

Gender: I'm leaning towards girl and so is Nathan. My sister thinks its a boy.

Labor Signs: None

Belly Button in or out? In

Stretchmarks? ::heavy sigh:: ::eye roll:: I had those before I was pregnant

How are you feeling? For the most part fabulous. I feel gross if I don't eat for extended amounts of time. I am really tired by the end of the day. As long as I take a nap I am fine.

What I am looking forward to: Getting a baby bump!

What I miss: I miss not needing to use the bathroom multiple times per hour. I feel like I'm a slave to my kidneys.

Weekly Wisdom: Don't be afraid to ask for extra help especially if your tired. Nathan has been more than helpful. And he does so with a smile on his face:) I love him!

Milestones: I'm 12 weeks pregnant!

Name Change!

So the gals over at Gooseberry Patch asked me a long time ago if I would consider changing the name of my blog. I didn't for whatever reason.

Well now I have decided to change. I get the name Maudette from my mom and it makes me smile whenever I hear it. So there you have it. The Gooseberry Patch is now the new and improved Days of Maudette!

Seriously, you're kidding right?

Its been forever since I've written a new entry. Today I just have to get some things out or I might explode.

So I hate hate hate my boss. Yesterday I asked if I could take a personal phone call if my Dr. called me. She was fine with it. The phone call comes and I take it in the back and then come out and continue working. She was all nosey. She asked what it was about finally after beating around the bush for like 20 minutes. I explained to her the whole thing and she proceeds to tell me all about her infertility problems and how she doesn't have a ute and blah blah blah. I. Don't. Care. Everything is not about YOU Boss Lady! Then she tells me that if DH and I's pH isn't exactly the same then we will never be able to have kids. WTF. UGH. Drives me crazy.

I was so excited to come home and make dinner for my man and just cuddle. I get home start dinner and wait for DH. Back track to a couple weeks. One of DH's friends asked us if we would be the legal guardians of their daughter. I don't like said friend so I was annoyed. Why ask us that. We do not live in the same state, we never see each other, you only call when you want something. DH told him we would think about it. As we are eating DHs phone rings. It was that friend. He wanted to know if we made up our minds. DH said sure. Friend says so will you be the guardians of both of our kids? Thats right. They are expecting again. They can't even take care of the baby they have let alone another one. I'm so annoyed.

I took my first dose of Clomid today. So far I don't feel any different. I didn't expect to. Let's hope this does the trick!

I'm ready for a vacation!

A week from now I'll be packing up for a week long vacation. I'm so excited!

Nathan is growing this gross mustache for the trip. He's been referring to it as his porn stache. I hate it. All of the guys decided that they were going to grow some kind of face hair for the wedding that we're going to. It pokes me when we kiss. He told me that he'll shave it once we get there. We'll see. I think he is starting to like it.

Cycle 18? No way!

I logged onto lovely FF today to enter in my info. I entered in the "heavy" flow blah blah blah and then I noticed what cycle I was on. 18. What the heck. I didn't think it had been that long since we started trying.

Tomorrow I go in for another ultrasound and I get to meet with my RE again. We are going to be discussing what medication is going to work best for me.

I'm looking forward to having a plan.

Big 2-7

Its my bday today! I've been wanting to say that all day long. I just started a new job and it wasn't like I was going to say "Hey guess what today is?" to everyone. That would be weird. So to say the least the day was less than exciting. On a high note I came home to find that Nate finished painting the living room and hallway, made the bed, changed the litter box, dusted the living room, went grocery shopping and had beautiful yellow tulips and a sweet card waiting for me. Oh how I love him.

I start walking with a group of ladies this week. I'm excited to get moving. Plus on of the ladies belongs to a group in town called "Stroller Strides". Its a group of mom's that meet various days during the week with their babies and walk all the charity walks and trails throughout the year. My plan is to join once I have a stroller to push of my own.
